Brenda of Bumblebees and Butterflies
"Hi, I am Brenda. I have designed and created things all my life even as a child in primary school I can remember designing patterns and images for my cross stitching and it was my Mum who taught me how to knit and to use a sewing machine. As I got older I loved observational drawing and studied oil painting at college. As a teacher I loved taking my children out into the environment to draw and look for examples of art and architecture and we always made books to keep our topic work in. This kept me going through my teaching years as there wasn’t much time to explore my creative side but since working part-time I have been able to have the luxury of working in my work room much more. I make cards, I still love making books and now I am experimenting with mixed media and improving my rubber stamping. I love all things Tim Holtz and my most favourite genres are vintage and shabby chic."
I have been crafting all my life. I tried many techniques, from working with fabric and wool to working with wood and clay to altering furniture and drawing.
I found the beautiful common of talented people here in the world wide web and started my own blog. I´m addicted to stencils and I love colours in all it´s versions. I always want to try something new and love to try out new mediums and to experiment with them. Now I´m looking forward to the new adventure as a member of the Design Team here at Country View Challenges!

"I am really lucky, I have lots that I do that I enjoy, but if I could craft full time (from a beach in the Maldives!) I would be very happy! I am easily influenced and love nothing more than to add Vintage Photo Distress Ink to every project!"Permanent DTM

When I am not looking after my grandchildren I enjoy playing the piano and pottering in my garden.
Like so many of us, I began with card making and have now developed my work into mixed media! I am known by my friends as someone that gets very excited about my work and love to have my creations done yesterday! What I enjoy most about the crafting world is the diversity....there are so many different forms of expression that it is impossible to run out of new things to try. We all stimulate and encourage oneanother.
I look forward to sharing ideas with all the lovely people that contribute to this lively blog.

"As long as I can remember I have always loved paper and now with the luxury of retirement I am enjoying discovering lots of new techniques and products - and making a lot of new friends! My style is more vintage/shabby chic, but will no doubt evolve as I discover more of this exciting craft, particularly as mixed media seems to be creeping into a lot of my pieces.Permanent DTM
I love scrapbooking our memories and make a lot of mini books and journals, but more than anything I love making flowers, perhaps a little obsessed! I run regular inking, stamping and flower workshops here in Shetland and it is always lovely to see the delight on participants faces when they realise they can create "art". I didn't think retirement would be so exciting!"

Monika of Mistletoe Home Decoration
My name is Monika, I am Hungarian living in Luxembourg. Being a full time crafter is a far cry from my first profession and my first job. But on becoming an expat wife I had to figure out what to do with myself and I had to find some activity I could do without knowing the French, German or Luxembourgish languages. So I brought out my creative being I’ve always been and I started to make decoupage boxes, embroidered felt decorations, salt dough decorations etc.
But when I bought my Sizzix Big Shot everything has changed. I learned a lot of new techniques and my interest turned to papers and canvases. I have been making nice decorations for my daughter’s birthday and other celebrations, I have been making greeting cards and now I got a new obsession: making mixed media canvases.

"Hi, I'm Sue, and like many others I discovered crafting through Dawn Bibby. I bought a kit that fit in it's own A4 box. Mmm things have changed a little now... My true obsessions are rubber stamping and colour - the brighter the better. I love inks and paints and anything that gives me colour - oh yes, and sparkle, and maybe a bit of glitter.... I admire Clean and Simple, but white space scares me. I'm thrilled to have joined the design team, and look forward to sharing my 'bits of paper' as my other half calls them with you."
"Hi, I am Trace, wife to my best friend and mum to 3 beautiful children, who make my life full. I love all things distress and have found much inspiration in Vintage, distress and steampunk styles. I am very inspired by Tim Holtz and love his products. my style seems to evolve and I am loving the journey ! I love playing with textures and anything inky and I am currently enjoying playing with paints and texture pastes. However, my distress inks are never far away!! I have taught lots of classes in the past and this is something I hope to start again in the near future now my children are getting bigger."
